The Gardens at Monmouth are ideal for wedding ceremonies. The following venues are located on our 26 acres of manicured gardens. Seasonal plantings ensure beautiful blooms year round.
The Sanctuary
This classic setting features a Palladian Temple and is across the Pond from the Main House. It is in a secluded area with lots of shade. This space can accommodate up to 150 guests.
The Pergola
Located in the heart of the gardens our wisteria-covered pergola is the premier location for weddings of all sizes. This space can accommodate up to 250 guests.
The Gazebo
Located between the butterfly garden and the pond this serene spot is ideal for small intimate weddings. It has a beautiful view of the pond and can accommodate up to 100 guests.
Reception Venues
The Main House
Built in 1818 the Main House has been the location of grand parties and events for nearly two centuries. For a more formal wedding reception the Main House is the perfect setting and can accommodate up to 250 guests. Main House Rental includes exclusive use of first floor of the Antebellum Mansion the Quitman Study and Lounge the Courtyard and the adjacent gardens for 3 hours (additional time may be purchased) tables table cloths and chairs.
The Garden Room
Boasting a large covered patio and generous interior The Garden Room is the ideal setting for receptions and rehearsal dinners of up to 150 guests and formal to informal functions. Garden Room Rental includes exclusive use of the Garden Room for 3 hours (additional time may be purchased) tables table cloths and chairs.
The Quitman Study
Located in the wing of the Main House built in the early 1850s this exclusive smaller intimate area is great for small receptions teas and luncheons of up to 20 people. Quitman Study rental includes exclusive use of the Quitman Study for 3 hours (additional time may be purchased) tables table cloths and chairs.
Accommodations
Spread across 26 acres in eight buildings our 28 rooms and suites are luxuriously appointed. The historical feel of the property is maintained with antique or reproduction furniture while modern conveniences are offered. All rooms offer nightly turn-down service plush in-room robes daily bottled water and ice service cable flat-screen TV luxury Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities complimentary Wi-Fi and full Southern breakfast from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. All rooms also offer private bathrooms and many have fireplaces and spa tubs. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.
